Terms of service

What you're agreeing to.

One product, run by one person. The terms are short because there is not much here to hide behind.

Who you are dealing with

DeltaChime is built and run by one person: Prav Durgani, working from the United Kingdom. There is no support team and no phone line.

Support, billing questions, privacy requests and security reports all go to the same address: prav@deltachime.io. A person reads them.

These terms are the agreement between you and me for the use of DeltaChime. Signing up or using the product means you accept them.

What DeltaChime does

You name competitors. DeltaChime watches their public pricing and plan pages, keeps a dated copy of every page it reads, compares each new copy with the one before it, and emails you a brief about what actually changed. The brief goes out on the day you pick in settings — Friday until you change it.

Every factual claim in a brief points back to the before-and-after copies it came from. Where we offer a reading of a change rather than the change itself, it is labelled and kept separate from the fact.

How the four stages work

The limits of the promise

This is monitoring, not omniscience. The honest boundaries are:

  • Pages move, get rebuilt, break, or start refusing us. We do not promise to catch every change on every page, and coverage of a competitor depends on their pages staying publicly readable.
  • We read public pages only. DeltaChime never signs in to anyone's product, so anything behind a login is out of reach by design.
  • A brief is information, not advice. It is not legal, financial, investment or competition-law advice. Pricing decisions you take after reading one are yours.
  • The captures are our working evidence for what we tell you. They are not a certified legal record, and they are not built to be used as one against a third party.

Your account

  • Both plans are single-user. One person per account; do not share your sign-in.
  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your email address current — that is where the briefs go.
  • If you are signing up on behalf of a company, you are confirming you can agree to these terms for it.
  • Name only competitors whose pricing pages are public. If a page needs a login, we cannot watch it and will not try.

What it costs

Solo — $79/month
5 competitors, each checked once a day, with 90 days of change history.
Pro — $149/month
15 competitors, each checked up to four times a day, with 365 days of change history.

Prices are in US dollars and billed monthly in advance. Stripe takes the payment and shows the full total, including any tax that applies, before you confirm.

Founding offer: the first 10 customers get Pro at $79 a month for their first three months, then $149 a month after that. It is applied at checkout — there is no code to type. Once those 10 are taken, the offer is over.

Competitor and check allowances are real limits, not a promise of unlimited monitoring. If a price ever rises, accounts already open keep the rate they signed up at.

Cancelling

Monthly, no contract, no minimum term.

Cancel whenever you like by emailing prav@deltachime.io. One line is enough — there is no form to hunt for and no retention call. I will confirm in writing.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have already paid for. You keep your briefs and your change history until then, and you are not billed again.

Refunds

If DeltaChime has not delivered you a brief, you can have a full refund within 14 days of your first payment. Ask and it is refunded — no reason needed.

After that, or once briefs have been delivered, a pro-rata refund is at my discretion. I would rather refund someone who is not getting value than argue about it, but I am not going to promise it in advance and then weasel. It is a judgement call, and you will get a straight answer either way.

Refunds go back through Stripe to the card you paid with. Card providers usually take a few days to show it.

If you are a consumer rather than a business, none of this affects your statutory rights under UK law.

How we read competitor pages

This section is a commitment to the sites we read, not only to you. It is how the product behaves today.

  • Public pages only. No logins, no cookies, no private sessions.
  • We read each site's robots.txt and obey it. If it tells our crawler to stay out of a path, we stay out of it and record the page as blocked.
  • Our crawler identifies itself. It sends the user-agent DeltaChimeBot/1.0 (+https://deltachime.io/methodology), so any site owner can see exactly who we are and read how we work.
  • The rate is slow and capped. We do not crawl a site — we re-read a short, named list of pages you chose, once a day on Solo and up to four times a day on Pro, and we send conditional requests so a page that has not changed returns nothing at all.
  • If a site blocks us, we stop. We do not rotate addresses, solve CAPTCHAs, or work around rate limits, challenges or access controls.
  • Site owners can ask us to stop. Email prav@deltachime.io and the source comes out.

Using DeltaChime fairly

  • Your briefs are yours to use inside your company. Quote them, paste them into a deck, argue with them.
  • Do not republish them as a product of your own, and do not resell access to your account.
  • Do not use DeltaChime to target individuals, or to point it at pages behind a login.
  • Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and do not scrape the app.

When things go wrong

There is no uptime guarantee. One person runs this, and deploys, outages and provider incidents happen.

If a check fails we retry it. A change missed because a page was unreachable turns up in the next brief once the page is back.

If a brief is wrong, tell me. Every claim carries the evidence it came from, so a mistake is usually traceable in minutes. I would rather fix the check than defend the output.

Liability

If you have a claim against me, it is capped at what you paid me in the twelve months before it. That cap is the honest size of this business, not a lawyer's trick.

I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss — lost profit, lost contracts, lost opportunity — or for commercial decisions taken after reading a brief.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited.

Ending it from my side

I can suspend or close an account for non-payment, for abuse of the service, or for use against these terms. Except in obvious abuse you get an email first and a chance to put it right.

If I close your account for a reason that is not your fault — I stop running the product, say — you get the unused part of the month back.

Changes to these terms

If something material changes, you get an email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Carrying on after that means you accept the new version; if you would rather not, cancel and the unused part of the month comes back to you.

Small corrections — a typo, a clearer sentence — are made without an email, and the date at the top changes.

Law and disputes

This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, that does not take away rights you have where you live.

Talk to me first: prav@deltachime.io. Most disagreements are a misunderstanding and take one email to sort out.
